Exhale
A breathwork app designed to make breathing techniques feel simple, useful and easy to build into everyday life.
Exhale is a breathwork and meditation app designed to make breathing techniques feel simple, useful and easy to build into everyday life.
People turn to breathwork for stress, sleep, focus and performance, yet the category often makes a simple idea feel complicated, overly clinical or wrapped in vague wellness language.
Developed from the ground up, Exhale brings brand, product and content together around one clear goal: make better breathing feel simple enough to start and useful enough to keep doing.

Making the breath visible
Making the breath visible
Breathing is instinctive. Breathwork often is not. Techniques vary in timings, patterns and instructions, leaving new users to understand the method before they can comfortably use it. The product and identity are built around one organising idea: make the breath visible.
At the centre of the experience is a responsive orb that expands and contracts to guide each exercise. It translates timing, rhythm and transitions into motion, allowing users to follow sessions instinctively rather than continually reading instructions.
Because the same behaviour carries through the interface, content and marketing, the orb works as both the core product interaction and Exhale’s most recognisable brand asset.

A calm but distinctive system
Exhale needs to feel credible enough to trust and approachable enough to return to. The identity balances calm with character, moving away from both sterile health technology and overly spiritual wellness codes.
A soft, distinctive wordmark and green core palette create recognition within the market, while a broader colour system gives different sessions their own emotional register. The system stays quiet and focused inside the product, then becomes more expressive across social content.
The tone follows the same principle. Techniques are explained in plain English, supported by simple educational content and occasional humour. The voice teaches without lecturing and encourages without taking itself too seriously.

Designed for everyday use
The experience shortens the distance between opening the app and beginning a useful session.
Clear navigation helps users find the right exercise without needing to understand the techniques first. Inside each session, the orb, timing, instructions and colour shifts work as one guidance system, allowing the interface to stay focused and free from unnecessary distraction.
The result is an experience that can support a quick moment of calm, a pre-sleep routine or a more consistent breathing practice.

Over 100,000 guided breathing sessions
Exhale brings strategy, identity, product design, motion and content together into one coherent experience, with a consistent idea connecting every part of the brand and product.
The app has supported more than 100,000 guided breathing sessions, helping people understand and practise breathwork more easily.
